Navy Blue and Green

This wedding was on June 5th, the colors were Navy blue and Green. Believe it or not there are blue flowers out there! I actually used Delphinium and the Delphinium I found had immature flowers in the bunch which actually looked navy blue. We used white flower because the other requirement of the bride was Dahlias, and the only color that would clash would've been white. This wedding included: Bridal bouquet (spiral handle, with wildflower look), toss bouquet, two mother's corsages, two dad's boutonnieres, four bridesmaids wristlets (I used snap bracelets), seven groomsmen boutonnieres, and a mini bouquet for a flower girl.

There was a lot to this wedding, but there was even more. So the reception was held at Noah's in West Jordan, its a place were you can hold any event. There was to be a Dahlia, Callas, or Cymbidium Orchid in a small bowl on each table. But that was a challenge... So I start driving to the reception site and I am running very early because I wanted to have plenty of time. Well my tire blew out and I was stranded on the side of the road with no idea of what I should do. I call my in-laws and they are right there to the rescue! So they drive me to the reception, but we get stuck in traffice for like about an hour right at the exit we need to take. My mother-in-law comes with me to help me get all the flowers on the tables. I explain everything to a little bridesmaid and we are off to go save my car on the side of the road.

Everything ended great, and because I had left so early I was actually o.k. time wise since all the wedding guests were stuck in the same traffic.

The flowers I used were, White Dahlias, White Mini Calla Lilies, Bells of Ireland, Green Cymbidium Orchids, Volkan Delphinium, and a few White Freesias. For my filler I used Israeli Ruscus. I closed off the bouquet with a Navy colored #3 satin ribbon.

I learned in this experience that Bells of Ireland don't do well unless they have a direct water source. They begin to get droopy and dead looking without water.
